Over 101 million delivery orders processed in the second quarter of 2025

The delivery sector in Saudi Arabia recorded remarkable growth during the second quarter of 2025, with the total number of orders exceeding 101 million transactions across the Kingdom. This reflects the increasing demand for the sector and the ongoing expansion of logistics services, according to an announcement today by the Transport General Authority (TGA).

The Riyadh region ranked first in total orders, registering over 45.68 million orders (45%), followed by the Makkah region with 21.47 million orders (21%), and the Eastern Province with 16.10 million orders (15%). The Madinah region recorded 4.71 million orders (4%), followed by Asir with 3.61 million orders (3%), Qassim with 2.93 million orders (2%), Tabuk with 1.80 million orders (1.77%), Hail with 1.65 million orders (1.64%), Jazan with 1.2 million orders (1.22%), Al-Jouf with 779,000 orders (0.77%), Najran with 666,000 orders (0.66%), the Northern Borders with 552,000 orders (0.54%), and finally Al-Baha with 215,000 orders (0.21%).

This notable growth in the delivery sector is attributed to the development of systems and regulations that enabled companies to provide high-quality and efficient services, the enhancement of digital infrastructure, and the promotion of innovation in logistics services. These factors contributed to faster response times to customer requests and improved market competitiveness. Additionally, changing consumer behavior, increased reliance on e-commerce, and ongoing investments in modern technological solutions have all boosted demand for delivery services in this vital sector.
